With the 4th overall pick in the 2012 MLS superdraft, the Toronto FC have selected the UCSB (University of California in Santa Barbara) playmaker Luis Silva. The senior Silva had a huge year with 17 goals and 10 assists. He is the program’s first NSCAA first-team All-American.
The Toronto FC have also selected Aaron Maund, from the University of Notre Dame with their second 1st round pick (via New York Red Bulls), 12th overall. Maund plays defense and has been a starter for the past three years with the fighting Irish. He was a part of the U-20 world cup US team.
