Canadian womens soccer team, manchester, england

There’s only one thing worse than the ‘Monday morning blues’ and that’s the ‘back in on Tuesday after a long weekend feeling’. While everyone enjoys the precious extra day off work, it also makes it that much tougher to drag your sorry ass out of bed the next morning.

Just to compound this feeling, why don’t we add in the fact that the Argonauts self-imploded in a very winnable game against the B.C. Lions (which I can’t even blame Noel Prefontaine for this time). Also, how about the news that Drew Hutchinson will now be joining the Blue Jays ‘Tommy John surgery gang’, meaning you can most probably forget about seeing him in 2013.

And to top it all off, the Canadian womens’ soccer team were robbed of a place in the Olympic 2012 final due to some very questionable referring. Yep, you must be feeling on top of the world today.

As such, I feel it’s my duty to try and provide a brief interlude from your pain and suffering. Despite Great Britain’s amazing weekend (yes I’ve finally been turned around to the magic of the Olympics) what follows is easily THE highlight of the Games so far.

And it comes courtesy of a very good friend of mine, Rob Parsons. He can often be found in the Wheat Sheaf on King and Bathurst if you want to buy him a drink after watching the follow link.

(UPDATE: It appears that some bar-steward has removed the above video since earlier today. For those of you who saw it, it was great wasn’t it? For those who missed it, apologies if I made a bad day even worse.)
