Well the start of the MLS season is finally here, with Toronto FC beginning their campaign today in Vancouver, against the Whitecaps. Here’s new head coach Ryan Nelsen speaking to the media ahead of the season opener:
As discussed, there’s been a lot of activity in recent days with TFC bringing in several new players, including Robert Earnshaw. The Welsh International talks about how he ended up in Toronto and what he’s hoping to bring to the team:
Toronto FC will obviously be hoping for a better result than the last time they were in Vancouver, when they lost 4-2 in the 2011 season-opener. One factor could be the state of the pitch, as per this tweet from the Toronto Sun’s Kurtis Larson:

Fingers crossed the pitch won’t be to the detriment of anyone. Unless it’s the Whitecaps.
Here’s hoping Toronto FC has a successful season. At least we know it won’t take much to improve on last year’s results.
